What Is a Scissor Lift?
Scissor lifts use multiple hinges that move in a scissor-like method to expand and contract, allowing operators to work at heights safely and efficiently.
A platform (with safety rails) is attached to a set of hinges that, when opened like scissors, can be at a low height, then as the scissors close, the height of the lift increases. They can be used in indoors with electrical, non-emission motors or for heavy-duty usage outdoors, using gas-powered, diesel dual fuel engines, with all-terrain tires.
They are ideal for use around obstacles and in smaller areas where maneuverability may be an issue.
Types of Scissor Lifts

Some lifts use electric motors, which are ideal for indoor usage as the motors emit no emissions. They are best suited for firm and level surfaces.
